Description: |
This
course introduces students to the
server-side, HTML-embedded scripting
language PHP. Emphasis is placed
on programming techniques required
to create dynamic web pages using
PHP scripting language features.
Upon completion, students should
be able to design, code, test, debug
, and create a dynamic web site using
the PHP scripting language. |

You will work on many different Projects throughout the semester. As you can see by the percentage, this is a major component of the class. |
Discussion Board: |
You will have to respond to different topics in the Discussion Board portion of Blackboard. |
| Final Project: |
The final project will be assigned at the end of the semester.
It will bring together all of the things we have covered throughout
the semester. |
Articles: |
Each
student will be required to research a
current PHP article and email me a typed summary
of the article. The typed summary
must be at least 1/2 a page in length and
saved as a Word document (.doc/.docx) or as Rich Text Format (.rtf). The article can be out
of magazines, newspapers, or on the Internet.
The due dates for the articles are:
August 28th, September 11th, September 25th, and October 9th. |
Withdrawal
Date and Procedure: |
The
last day to withdraw from this class
is Thursday,
September 24th. To initiate
this procedure, you must talk to
your advisor about withdrawing before
this date. |
